These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Al Dar Optics website and any order you place through it. By browsing the site or placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the moment you place your order.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Orders for minors must be placed by a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

Prescription eyewear and contact lenses are dispensed strictly against a valid, current prescription. By submitting a prescription you confirm that it is accurate, that it belongs to the person the order is for, and that it has not expired.

We may contact you or your optometrist to verify a prescription before dispensing, and we may decline or cancel an order where a prescription cannot be verified or appears clinically unsafe.

Contact lenses are medical devices. A valid contact lens prescription is not the same as a spectacle prescription and must include base curve and diameter. We are unable to dispense contact lenses without these.

Product images are for illustration. Frame colours may vary slightly between screens and the physical product.

All prices are shown in Qatari Riyal (QAR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm your order.

We take reasonable care to price products correctly. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Instalment payments, where offered, are provided by a third-party provider under their own terms.

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation, or when your order is collected in branch.

We may decline an order where the product is unavailable, where a prescription cannot be verified, where we suspect fraud, or where there has been a pricing or description error. If we decline an order that you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.

We deliver across Qatar. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and on the product page; they are estimates, not guarantees.

Prescription orders are dispatched only after glazing is complete, which may add working days to the estimate shown for stock items.

You may also choose to collect from any Al Dar Optics branch. Please bring your order confirmation and a form of identification.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.

You may return unused items in their original packaging within 7 days of delivery or collection for an exchange or refund.

The following cannot be returned for change of mind, for health and safety reasons:

• opened contact lens packs;
• lens care solutions where the seal is broken;
• custom-glazed prescription lenses made to your specification.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described. If a prescription has been dispensed incorrectly by us, we will remake it at no cost.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within the period set by that provider.

Frames and lenses carry the manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, normal wear, scratches from ordinary use, or damage caused by improper handling, heat or unsuitable cleaning products.

Bring the item and your proof of purchase to any branch to make a warranty claim.

Eye tests at our branches are carried out by qualified optometrists. An eye test is a sight assessment, not a full medical examination; it does not replace consultation with an ophthalmologist or physician.

If our optometrist identifies a condition requiring medical attention, we will advise you to seek appropriate care. We are not responsible for the outcome of any onward referral.

Please arrive on time for booked appointments. We may need to reschedule if you arrive late.

All content on this site - including text, graphics, logos, photographs and page design - belongs to Al Dar Optics or our licensors and is protected by law. Brand names and logos of the products we stock remain the property of their respective owners.

You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution or commercial use requires our written permission.

You agree not to use this site to submit false prescriptions or identity information, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems, to introduce malicious code, to scrape or copy content systematically, or to use the site in any way that is unlawful or that could damage or impair it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your provision of an inaccurate or out-of-date prescription.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. The courts of Qatar have exclusive jurisdiction.
